I know its kinda old news but i've had a good reply from Austin. Here's the paste from my whirlpool post..


Ok FINALLY there is an end in sight, and its all good !

I sent Alan an Email on the 10th of May to see what kind of response i'd get. Being a naturally non confrontational person I avoided the phone. I can also guess at how many emails that they get so I thought it was a long shot.

So finally today, i've done my tax return and i'm going to be spending some money upgrading a couple of machines. I have to order some stuff today, so with my back to the wall i can either pick up the phone and give it one more try? or just walk away !

So i ring the Osborne shop and ask for Alan.

I explained (without trying to bore him) what's happened. So he checks the system to see if there's a record of my situation. On the computer it was listed as being sent to me on Nov 13th, but it never arrived ??

I had mentioned in my explanation of my story that if the Original motherboard wasn't there that i would be interested in a HDD or something else. So not knowing if i was scamming him or not he said that he could offer me a deal of paying ½ each. Which was pretty fair, though when i looked at this record on whirlpool while on the phone i realised that Kylie from Fair trading was still talking to their company trying to sort out a refund so that worked in my favour actually having something written down too :D

So after explaining what records I had Alan apologised for the mix up as they obviously do a lot of business etc having so many stores and orders etc, and to be fair he offered me full shop credit, which i used on a new SSD HDD and paid the extra $50 difference in parts.

SO.....
if you have a drama with Austin, keep your act together and give Alan a nice call. He will give you a fair go, and get the job done.

So hopefully next week, i get me new HDD and i can start trouble shooting my gaming machines random behaviour. Hopefully replacing as little stuff as possible so i can spend the rest of my Tax return on a New Video card and more ram for WIN 7 pro !
